I did the 90' gt conversion into my 68' runs great but the idle is erratic and running rich (burns the eyes. Motor is a stock rebuild with a B303 cam, Stock fuel injection 9AL comp,All new sensors and 19lb injectors. It looks like i goto get the computer tuned. Any good recommendations on the island. I got Mustang magic around the corner from me, Any good ?. Whats a ball park on the cost of tuning

My intentions were to get everything up and running good and then slowly start to upgrade for performance. when i started it up this morning the idle surged up and down and close to stalling, i disconnected the IAC and there was no change. so i replaced it but still no change. It seems like it is not receiving a signal from the computer. Any suggestions on how to test for the signal.
Not an answer to your original question but ditch that 55m tb, it robs a lot of power above 3k rpms,
get one from a '93 cobra, they bolt right in and are already calibrated for the 19 lb injectors. (even thought the cobra injectors aren't)

But anyway about the calibration.. cobra came with 24lb but the sensors are all calibrated for 19's (cheaper that way), the cobra's computer compensates, you could bolt it right in and works perfectly, I've done it in two cars and it makes an big difference right away.

"In simple terms, the Cobra EEC adjusts for the 24# injectors.
The Cobra meter is "calibrated" for a Cobra EEC (X3Z) with 24# injectors. The Cobra mass air transfer function (kg/hr vs volts) happens to be similar to the stock GT (A9L) transfer function so a Cobra meter "almost" works with 19s and an A9L. But the transfer function is different so it's far less than an ideal solution."

Yep, the Cobra's are like all other Ford where the calibration is done in the ECU. Aftermarket meters tell the computer there is less air coming in the motor to reduce fuel for larger injectors.
I also used a 93 Cobra MAF on my 93 GT but it does lean the car out some so be careful. The 94/95 GT 70mm is even closer a match but has the 4 bolt flange.

Kind of strange to see that much issue with a pretty much stock setup (sans the cam). I'd check for the following:
* Check fuel pressure (there's a schrader valve on the supply line before the injector rails that you can put a gauge on and check. With the vacuum line disconnected from the fuel regulator, it should read 38psig
* Check to make sure you hooked up and have good grounds.
* Check to make sure your O2 sensors are hooked up.
* How does it run if you give it gas and hold the RPM's at 2000?
* Any issues with the cam install? i.e. timing setup ok?
* Did you get to check the compression at any point?
* How does the MAF meter look? Did you get a chance to clean it?
* Check the error codes again. Something else could turn up. I'm surprised not to see any rich or lean codes with the issues you're having.
