Rear End swap or gears?

So...I hate to sound like a noob, but is there a trick or something that im missing when trying to remove the lower control arms? I managed to get the nuts off, but the bolts themselves aren't moving at all. Impact gun doesn't even move em. Im takin the whole thing off cuz i want to clean off all the rust and repaint it and to get some better leverage when I put on the crush sleeve.
Update: for anyone who's interested...
I've managed to get the control arms off and the rear end out. I had to saw the bolts flush to the bushing w/an angle grinder because they were seized so bad. Tried a torch and an air chisel and it didn't even move em. So new bushings/bolts are set to come in tomorrow. I got the pinion in and working on getting some readings today. hopefully i'll have it done in time for sunday...

Alright everyone. She's back up and running. Thanks for all the advice.
It Only took like 3-4 weeks for what shoulda been a 3-4 hour job. but hey, it's done. So far so good. Unintentionally, she chirps goin 1-2nd and 2-3rd which is kinda cool. No whine and no extra noises or vibrations. And actually She sounds a lot quieter than the factory gears. Now all i gotta do is get a tuner...
Next up, Windstar intake kit, maybe some pulleys, shift kit, or true dual exhaust...too many choices.
