Rear End leak !!!!Any ideas???

I'm still leaning towards the diff cover. Like someone earlier stated, even with the brace they can still give you problems. It definitely looked like it was coming from the back of the housing, not at all towards the front.
Guys, he was at LVD yesterday and wheel hopped bad in 1st and 2nd. By the time I seen the car in back in the pits there was gear oil all over the diff brace, gas tank, exhaust, etc. Basically from the back cover to the bumper, and pretty near from fender to fender. Had to have it trailered home. Never a good day of racing when that happens. :nono:
I'd say diff cover has a bad gasket, is bent, or is cracked.

Differential covers leak, crack and break (never heard of one bending) from too much flex in the IRS. The root of the problem may be bad bushing(s). This would lead to wheel hop that is worse than typical, putting even more stress and flexing on the rear resulting the leaking cover issue.
Maybe time to pull the entire IRS and replace all the bushings etc. Especially if you are going to run it at the track.

It is a coupe and it is lowered do you think that could another reason and how hard is it to take the entire IRS out to replace the bushings never have done it before so Idk what is involved?
I bet your stock diff mounts are in rough shape, the front stock ones suck and cause the diff to slam when the wheels hop. Your lucky you didnt crack your diff casing, that would be expensive!
BF brace and at least the diff mounts would be well worth it. Then do the subframe, lower and upper control arms if you can.

they are still rubber remember. rubber bushings doesn't belong anywhere near an IRS. Your diff cover cracked because the front mounts aren't supporting the diff enough and most of the force is transmitted though the rear mount.
a stock one with the bf brace will support a ton of power but now that you need to replace it you might as well replace it with one that has a drain plug like the LPW one. Not sure about the UPR but i've never been a fan f their quality honestly.

Can't offer you any advise as to which cover. Interestingly, suddenly 8 years late, Ford has started to offer one. Ford Racing Performance Parts
