Rc controller?

Anyone have a rc controller that takes crystal that they wouldn't mind parting with? I need one for my tamiya mighty bull truck. Lost the orginal one for it.

I have over 40 rc vehicles. Planes, cars,trucks,boats. Gas and electric.

How many channels, and do you need servos also?

i got an airtronics blazer. basic controller comes with most kits. I have a KO Propo-Helios for xray 009 =]. but if u want that airtronics its all yours.

Umm, Aren't you forgetting to check whether it is 27mhz or 75mhz and what about the receiver? Better find out what band your crystals are on.

I am going to buy new crystals anyways so i just need remote.

You need a receiver too if it is a different frequency! A 27mhz receiver will not work with 75mhz crystals or vice versa.

Right i figured that out but problem is my friend let me borrow his hitec aggressor remote and i put the same crystals in truck and remote and nothing. Truck just beeps. The truck is a tamiya mighty bull xp(expert built).

What are you using for a speed controller? And do you have it set up properly?

I am using stock speed controller

and using 27.255 crystals(is what truck came with) and 27.045 crystals and neither make any difference. I have a radioshack remote that uses the 27.045 remote and it works fine.

Might be the controller then. Just make sure the one that is being given to you is a 27mhz.

I am thinking it is my esc. I think the 75mhz controller is not compatible with my stock tamiya one.

Electronic Speed Controllers are not frequency dependent. Trasmitter and receiver yes, ESC no.

Oh well i found out that my new remote is probably not compatible to that certain truck receiver.

I used to have a whole lot of fun with my R/C cars. Had a bunch and raced at the club level. Even did some traveling to race. I part-timed at a Hobby Shop just to support the habit....

lol i only have 10-12 remote control cars right now. Had alot more but got rid of them.

I don't know that I had that many at any one time. You should be a pro with having that many cars. What are you one here asking for help for? With that many cars your looking for someone to give you a transmitter? :smash:

Most of mine are tyco/radioshack type cars. Only one true built is my tamiya mighty bull. I really need is a 75mhz am 2channel receiver. My truck has the 27mhz receiver so either receiver that is 75mhz or remote that is 27mhz is what i am looking for.
