My 98 GT has 89k miles, bbk offroad xpipe, SLP LM2 catback, AEM intake,and Predator with can tune (I'm going to fine tune asap just got new wideband sensor in other day).

STOCK 2.73 gears and it is 5spd.

Track conditions, 89* DA of 2880 ft.:thumbsdown:

1st pass and the best one!!

14.28@96.5 with a 2.16 60ft time!!!:headbang:

I'll post all my slips later, I made 4 passes and on the 4th my clutch slipped bad, it's tough getting a nice launch with 2.73's.

Tires are 245/45 Sumitom HTRZ, cheapos.

I thought I'd post here, next is my main forum Corral.

I KNOW in better conditions I can get a 14.0-14.1 and around 98mph.

I'm glad I ran it before I tossed my gears in!!!!!!!:)

I thought the car was a high 14 or something, I'm used to faster cars lol. But it's fast for a 98 GT lol....and 2.73's!!!!!! LMFAO

AND 28mpg on the highway....hehe

I'm tempted to get a SC for the 98 after seeing how good it ran as is. These 96-98 are suppose to be dogs but it is right there with what most foxbody 5.0's ran with same mods. Strange.

Just takes practice! I drive my cars hard though, but I used to race 2 times a week every summer. Before my daughter of course. I'm one thats all for squeezing the best time possible before going with more power or mods.

not bad at all

my first time at the track with my car i ran consistant 13.2-13.1 with shitty 60foot's, i finally got a 1.89 60foot and did a 13.02 but i know i can get them down more with a better tire, had Nitto 555r's with 40% tread on them and they were only a 245.

im full bolt-ons, dyno tunned, stock gears and ran that so not bad at all....
