question about engine size in a sn95 edge

ok yall know i got this 04 mustang gt.. what im wondering is if a 514 ci big block will fit into the engine bay without having to redesign the front end LOL.
if it wont.. whats the biggest cubic inch motor i can drop into this thing?

Things to think about:

- Youll need to lower the motor mounts, intake hood clearance
- Your current Headers will no longer fit
- Trans may have to be retrofitted
- Wiring harness

And tons of other lil stuff.

I did see a 95 GT with a 400+ ci retrofitted in a Mustang rag a few months ago, so it can be done.

yeah mustangs unlimited is who i called after posting this question. they told me it will fit and i shouldnt have to cut anything but i will need to figure out where im going tobolt the motor plates. but it will fit and it will be a tight fit lol, as far as the transmission goes the stock t3650 wont handle the 600plus hp im gonna be pushing with the new engine. so ill be getting a new tranny as well. as far as the exhaust goes i pretty much figured i would need a whole new system as well as a new 9inch ford rear end.

The engine will fit. A modular engine is most likely dimensionally larger.

Your trans wouldn't bolt up anyways. Your looking at getting a C6 or the like which will fit in the tunnel. Good luck ever having your car pass the inspection though. You wouldn't be able to keep the OBDII stuff.
