I think this system will be more prone to over heating considering the older model turns into a space heater after a short time of playing.
Xbox 360 News
Microsoft confirmed what gamers everywhere suspected was coming, an Xbox 360 price cut. The Xbox 360 Elite, which is the 120 GB version of the system, now retails for $299.99, a $100 price drop. The system will largely remain the same as it was with one exception. It will only ship with standard definition cables. While 360 component cables are indeed expensive at a suggested retail price of $39.99, HDMI cables are dirt cheap and can be found as low as [ame="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002L5R78/ref=ox_ya_oh_product"]8 cents[/ame].
The Xbox 360 Pro will be phased out. Existing units will be sold at $249.99 while supplies last.
The Xbox 360 Arcade model will remain as it was, selling for $199.99.
IMO
Phasing out the Pro system might be the end of a dropping failure rate considering the Xbox Pro 360 was the version that carried the Jasper Chipset.
