Well guys, over the years i have spent tens of thousands of dollars modding and building perfectly good cars to make them go fast and race, i have now reached the point where i will be hanging up my G Force fire suit. I have made a hard decision to go back to what got me into Mustangs, looks and fun, not speed and head aches. My car was bought last year and i had the idea to keep in close to what it was and make it faster, it went into the shop yesterday to get started on the "de-tune" of the race engine and will be coming out just a mild street car, i will be converting the bumpers back to OEM original GT bumpers, swapping out the Saleen wing for a stock GT wing, replacing the Cervini stormin Normin hood for a 3' standard cowl hood, over the next year or so, will be getting the engine bay shaved and painted clean, battery re-locate to rear hatch with a nice clean stereo system, Yes, i said stereo system.
I never thought i would be doing this, but its time to start enjoying my car, driving it where i want to go and be comfy doing it, i will still have the speed and raspy sound, but not what i used to have. Its time to roll the old girl in and bring back the old 5.0 i feel in love with, nasty wide wheels in the back, skinny wheels in the front and just a cocky looking fun car to drive.
So let the new build start, here is to the start of something new, Dave is not going fast anymore, Dave is going " Old School"
Here are the pics of the way she is now to start the thread
