Press in ball joint help

Can anyone tell me how i can press in a ball joint without a press?

Kind of tough to do. There is an on the car ball joint press. i.e OTC-7249 i don't know if any of the Parts stores rent it. There are specific adaptors for various makes and models.

did the ball joints on my tahoe last fall. advanced auto has a press you can rent.

yeah, that is a little out of my price range at the moment, i gotta do this with limited funds and tools. Sucks but i gotta do it. :nono:

I saw mine done with a clamp and it wasnt easy to get it, so....

just bring it to any repair shop, they should have a press. Its a pain in the ass to do it with a c clamp

Autozone rents the press for free. You just have to leave a deposit.

+1 on the heat and C-clamp. Pain in the ass, but works. Or rent a press. If you were closer to me I have a shop with a press I can use. Take it to a shop and see. Should only charge you a few bucks.
