Rented a 2010 Mustang Convertible and drove the California coast on Hwy 1 from San Francisco to L.A. Most awesome drive I ever did in my life..One stretch was 60+ miles of nothing but hills and sharp turns not to mention the beautiful scenery..Not many cars around and speed limit was 65 so I was able to cruise it pretty good. :3gears: ..Broke it up into a few days and stayed on the ocean both nights..Took a million pics..I'll just post a few.


Was a little chilly at first so the top was up.





Road was lots of turns and hills..Awesome!






Ran into this really cool CHP officer..he didn't pull me over but let me take a pic like he did..LOL..He told me about a water fall I HAD to see and how to find it..



Man was he right! It was beautiful..Would have never found it!













They had these turnoffs along the way..you could literally stop every few hundred feet to take pics..this is where slowpokes pulled over too..Yay!







Finally able to put the top down...and got a nice sunburn from it too...

This road was very scary..felt like you were going to go off the cliff..

Man you are making me want to move back to cali. I used to love cruising the coast. There is a awesome mustang club out there too with lots of cruises and meets.:D

Only thing that could have made the cruise more fun is cruising it with a bunch of Stangs! :rock:...Stay in NY though...nice to visit but..;)

LOL You gotta be kidding me!!! I drove north from LA to San Fran on HWY 1 in 2003. Beautiful pics, Dawn. :awesomework: Brings back a LOT of memories. Camped on the beach one night with some elk. Just amazing landscape. Thanks for sharing. :eek:

Very nice.

I remember taking that little trip with the family when I lived in Cali.

How fun would it be roller blading through that narrow part of San Fran.? :D

Oh yeah..I drove the speed limit.. :smash: I was flyin! I think people were laughing when they thought I got pulled over..:D

Dawn....great pictures!!!!!! I wish there were some roads/views like that up here near us. I remember cruising up in the ADK's a few years ago and found some nice roads....but I have no clue where they are :)
