so my car a 85 mustang carburator lx notch runs perfect i mean perfect butttt i noticed the oil pressure gauge goes all the way up to H and when i left of the gas it goes to normal but when i accelerated a little it goes back to H so im scare to really press the gas pedal hard thinking ill blow something up anyways why is it doing that car feels perfect like i said but maybe is not ???????????

It could be that. I had that problem that. But my oil pump relief valve was sticking. When I floored the car to see what the hell it would do. It blew the oil filter right off the car. All that was left on was the ring that screwed on to the motor. I had to change the oil pump.
So untill you mechanical gauge on it, Or just replace your old sending unit I would not beat on the car.
