oil change

hey guys almost that time again .. im wondering . i use royal purple synthetic oil . i hardly ever drive the car say average 20 miles a week and is always in a garage .. is it ok to still change the oil every 2000 miles even if it goes past the six months ..

ive owned the car for 2 years and have no leaks .. the previous owner told me he used synthetic in the engine trans and rear .. i dont know if thats true cuz i havent changed the tranny or rear fluin yet though i probably should lol but it is a low mileage car and i plan on using synthetic when i change them ..
people who get leaks when changing to a synthetic oil usually have high mileage cars ..

I started using Royal Purple in my race car, now the trans leaks. When I have mentioned this to a few people they tell me its the Purple. Changed the pan gasket twice still leaks. I don't mean faucet but it leaves a few drops after sitting in the trailer all week, and the pan is damp. Just switched to MOBILE this weekend after a new converter install at the suggestion of my tranny guy, we'll see

I wouldnt run Royal Purple imo. Ive heard ALOT of negative things about people running it. Also, when it turns anything but purple, the oil is spent. I ran it once in my car, and I got about 1K miles out of it. Ive been running the Q synthetic ever since.

I use purple can't complain but I think ima switch to the castrol edge heard its great
