The way emissions/inspection works is that the cars OBD16 port tells the computer wether or not you have cats by checking for a MIL with the back two cats. A MIL kit or tuner will turn those off and trick the computer into thinking you have functioning cats. So if you install them you can pass only if your mechanic doing the inspection doesn't look under the car to see if you have cats or not. If he does then your S.O.L. but if not your in the clear. A few HIPO shops in my area tend to advert their eyes when they "inspect" the car because they are car nuts as well. So best bet get a MIL kit for $30 and find a cool mechanic.
just don't get them from American Muscle...I got mine from them and they did not work...Not worth the trouble to put the car up on the lift to take them all...
