That's 300+ miles from here...We should do regional meets for now, which will eventually lead to a central location for an annual New York Mustangs cook out/drag day. Rent a track, drag race / bbq in the parking lot all day.

LVD is the best spot as its most central to most. I would vote earlier in year, late May? Most mid to late summer weekends will be already planned for. Much easier to do early.

Hey!! Here is an idea!!!:wave: Our local stang club (Adirondack Shelby Mustang Club) rented LVD last year & plans on doing so again. Worked out to be about $20/car/driver. There wasnt may cars there & it was also combined w/ LVD's FORD day. Only FORDs allowed on track for day. You could have made 20 runs if you wanted. I say we have it on the ASMC's track day &/or LVD's FORD day. May be rent some local camping for week end so we can all socialize?

I cant get Adobe reader to work right now & our news letter is in that format, so Ill try to get clubs date from another ASMC member.

Not a bad idea, I have met a few guys from the shelby club and they all seem like a great group of guys.

Nice idea but 3+hrs from my house is a little bit far for a meet. Plus i have some rally's and meets around here i am going too. Anyways i am glad to see that a site like this is trying to get people together for a meet that is an awesome idea. Best of luck to ya guys. Whenever you guys want to meet in Syracuse or surrounding area let me know and i will gladly catch ya guys. I will keep you guys informed on the meets around my area so you guys could come if you wanted to.

Definitely keep us informed...Don't be afraid to use the upcoming events section on the forum and the upcoming events link on top...there's a really cool interactive map on there to post / view events.

There will be more than 1 NYM event this summer, there will be many events throughout the entire state to cover everybody :headbang:

I know of two meets coming up this year. One is a mustang rally in norwich ny(which is being held by the same dealer i bought my car off of and there is alot of mustangs involved according to the dealer) so i will give you the exact date as soon as i find out and the other is in cortland ny. I know the club there meets regular and has a nite on the town i guess is what it is called where they get escorted by the cops. Will keep you guys posted on time and dates of these events.

I would love to start a mustang rally in syracuse for the people from rochester and binghampton could go to. I was thinking about meeting in the parking lot of the mall up there right off of I81. Just an idea.

Thats a good idea. You can post in that regions section and maybe organize something :)
