I guess you've never driven in the rain with drag radials!! It's like driving on ice, even if you take it slow...most aren't gonna take the risk. On another forum there has been about 20-30 people who have wrecked their cars this year driving in the rain with drag radials....

Hey guys and gals... I'm a Veteran and currently serving in the National Guard and as much as I'd love to see this go off!!!, I don't want to risk anyone's car to a rainstorm. All it takes is one "Slip", whether it's your mistake or some other idiot that's rubberneckin' at all the cars!

Like I've stated in my statement(I think) It's my mindset, and I can't fathom the idea of going in the rain with the work I've put into it.
Do as you like, as it is your car and your choice....not looking for a pissing match, but I won't be going if it rains.....Sorry.
I will vote to keep it for Saturday, regardless of my attendance.
And like I've said, just because I may not go, does not mean I cannot contribute.

Just look at the forecast they gave us for today, nothing serious happened. I believe lastnight it looked like a washout for today. So far all we got, didn't amount to anything. Cruise in at Victory Lap Icecream tonight in Delanson, I think I'll get ready.

well they can get a hotel if they cant drive back , and they can just take their time getting down here. Im saying im good for july 18th.im deff in rain or shine , its says scatter thudnerstorms so when its not raining we can take pics and look at cars and when its raining we canjust all hangout uner shelter.

The forecast in Montgomery is improving. Now it's saying AM rain. Hopefully this system will continue to speed up and maybe even get out by tomorrow night...not much improvement but at least the outlook is headed in the right direction.
