noise in front end

ok guy like Iv said befor Im new to mustangs Iv always been a gm man ,but i always love the sound of a mustang,anyway i got my first stang last week it a 2003 gt 5 speed i have noticed that there a sound comming from the front pass wheel when i hit bumps and the front end is constantly bouncing ,so in my years of working on camaros im gonna change the strutts but im a lil courious the sound seem to me more then just a strutt.I also have about 2" of play in the strearing wheel 1" in either way a buddy of mine said it might be the shaft.so befor I start my project on sat any input would be greatly appreciated

The noise when hitting a bump could be either a strut or bad balljoint.
Steering wheel play could be tie rod ends, wheel bearing, steering shaft, or balljoints. You have to get under the car and inspect everything.
