Got it. So I need a harder tire. War brands and types of tires make the one that suits my needs?

When it comes to handling, ride etc no component is more important than your tires. You need to find a happy medium that suits you. Go with the Nittos, do not do too many burnouts and they will last 15,000+. IMHO any tire that lasts 30,000 miles is too much of a compromise in handling and traction. I had a pair of Yokahama run flats on my gt and used to do burn outs on them twice or more a week and they never wore like any tire I've ever owned but they were very unpredictable in the rainand had no traction to speak of probably would be a great tire to Drift with.BTW the new Nitto nt05r supposed to be alot stickier than the 555r at the expense of shitty wear.I have 555r on my cobra and I'm gonna go with the MT/ET DR or the NT05R if I can get a bigger diameter in a 17".
