Nitrous question

Hey guys,

I have a built dss block with 8.5 to 1 compression if I put a nitrous plate what is a safe shot to spray?? And do u guys recomend any brand of nitrous that I should buy??

125 shot is safe.. Once you get 150 and over you need to have everything dialed in just right or you will blow it up. What intake you running. I have a NOS plate setup for sale with a purge, blanket, bottle opener, MSD timing retard and all that!

Which DSS block ddid you get - 2 or bolt? 2 bolt I'd say no more then 125, if you got a 4 bolt depending on your other combo skies the limit.

P.S. Why is your compression so low...were you planning on a blower but "settling" on nitrous?

I gotta find out I don't remember but yea I was planing turbo. But had a few very expensive emergencies so no more turbo

First off which block is VERY important here, and I think the only issue you're gonna have with nitrous on that motor is off nitrous it's gonna be sluggish. Nitrous cars generally run n/a compression, as opposed to blower cars that require less.

I had my car with no nitrous for about 5-6 months now on this set up n it feels really strong!! The only reason I want nitrous it the track

Good. Every car reacts differently to mods....even though your car would feel crisper with more compression, if it feels good to you then just make sure about the block and go from there. :awesomework:

Uhhhh yeah!!!! Way under LOL!! I wouldn't spray for than 125 on a stock block. I'm a big fan of NOS brand stuff and I've never had a problem with their equipment. I've been tossing around the idea of selling my NOS sniper kit off my '94. Adjustable from 50 to 125 HP with a fogger nozzle that threads into your intake pipe. I have everything except the bottle which is the solenoids, nozzle, jets, hoses, toggle and momentary switches, WOT switch, bottle brackets, relay kit and purge kit. I'll sell it all for $300. You would need a bottle and a RPM window switch to get a wild kick in the ass. You can always upgrade the kit with different jets and spray 150 with it. Different solenoids an you could spray 200. LOL
Let me know before I hook it back up for my wife to use! HaHa

Ive been running a 125 dry kit on my stock block stroker for about 4-5yrs now with no issues! A 125 kit on average will drop about a second(give or take a tenth or so). I went from going a best of 11.82@112 on motor to 11.15@121 on spray.
