Hey everyone. I have a 1997 Mustang GT with 44k miles on the clock. I was thinking of running nitrous oxide on my car in the future. What would be a safe shot to run? I was thinking of running a 50 shot or maybe a 75. I don't want to get carried away since this is my summer DD.
LOL he's obviously joking. I ran an NX 100 shot for many years on my 02 GT. As long as you have a window switch, and the proper safety measures you should be fine. Mustang Magic tuned my car w/ the nitrous and on the 100 shot it had 485 RWTQ. I would highly recommend a tune as well.
The largest shot run by the general Modular crowd is 150. That is about the max you would want to do unless you plan on melting your pistons.
I would look into a Nitrous Express WET system or the base kit from Nitrous Outlet.com. You do NOT go cheap when dealing with this. Also make sure that when you run it you are engaging after 3000rpms as you could puddle fuel under that and BOOM there goes your manifold and pretty much anything attached to it.
