i wanna try to switch things over, but keep its as original as i can..i dunno if i wanna do a restro mod, or just a restoration...is thier anything special you have to do when getting an all new exhaust..i work second shit, so i wont be back on till 1245 is tonight...have a good day..drive fast and take chances
I like things sort of stock, I am not a resto mod kind of guy at all. That being said I like to improve preformance where and when I can. If you looked around you could get a pair of shorty headers to replace your stock restictive manifolds,you could even run a pair of takeoff stock headers from an 85 1/2 - 93 Mustang. Combined with an h pipe and duals,etc. You'd get some good breathing and still look stock sort of. Basically I'd try to copy an 87-93 5.0 exhaust system with or without the cats. Exhaust systems are bolt ons and pretty much don't hurt resale if that's a consideration to you. BTW I am also under the impression that the later system would be easier and cheaper to find. Just be careful because next thing you know you'll be hunting for a 4 barrell carb and intake. Also a bolt on and not a bad idea............
