Hi All
I joined because I am starting my 1st car restoration. My 19yr son (&me) want to learn about cars more so I though what better then a full tear down & rebuild of an old simple car. So we got a 1968 mustang coupe with a 6I. It needs a lot of body work like: floor pan, frame rails, trunk floor pockets & stuff. I started by taking a course at a local BOICE on auto body & hooking up with CJ Ponies for the sheet metal. We have the car totally stripped down to the shell & I made a rotisserie for it. We got the frame rails, torque boxes, floor pans in on one side so far. We are learning about spot weld removal, mig welding, body filler & primers. This is my first time doing something this big but hope to learn a lot along the way like
1. Check the price of a replacement fender before trying to fix one with 5 holds one the size of a record album. 25 + hours & so so filler work or $150
