New 68 stang owner

I'm new here so "Hi". Does anyone know of a mustang restorer shop on Staten Island? Just to get some info and ideas. A little overwhelmed with all that I need to do to restore. Thanx Paul

Hello and welcome to the site we could always use some more classics around here.Although I can't steer you towards a specific shop on Staten island I can possibly assist you in other areas as I've been working on,driving ,and restoring classic Mustangs for years(I currently own 2 68's).So if you'd like to pick my brain or anyone elses feel free to post up your questions,concerns,ideas,etc.In the classic section.

Work in progress is that it's being shipped to my home from Fl. today. So I'm getting a headstart on her. Radiator/shroud being delivered tomorrow. She was overheating in Fl. So no auto train. :( I will be on this forum alot, so Hi to all my new buddies.

Psssst MrKidyid, A little birdy told me you are having some carburetor trouble.(I'm a VMF member too) . If you need some help,advice,input,let me know.I've been playing with Ford carbs for myself and others for years.I'm in the process of rebuilding a 2bbl off of a 67 v8 right now for a shop in N.J.

Thanks. I called up Holly and found out that they already rebuilt my carb. I had it rebuilt to drive home last week. Float still stuck. After Holly told me that. I just ordered a new carb 500cfm. I joined so many sites at once, it's a little confusing. Thanx Ponyboy

I copy about joining a bunch of forums at once. So you had a Holley 2bbl on the car, you had it rebuilt ,got a whole week out of it and decided to go to buy a new carb.......Still following. So what 500 cfm 2bbl carb did you replace it with? Not a Holley, right?

Quick note Pony Boy- The carb was a motorcraft. It had a tag attached to it. Holley said they worked on it already. This carb is 40 yrs. old and looks like it. The car was so neglected. So I went with a holley 500cfm 2bb. I have my wife on my @$$ about buying a car that needs work. So I just want to get car on road and wife off back. If I don't use the old carb when the new one is in and working fine- If you know of anyone who wants it....I know u r in NJ. I'm in S.I.

Malcolm I also a a member of VMF, Paul welcome. Awesome, another classic. Any questions about the 68 Stang ask away as I had a 68 GT Coupe that I completely rebuilt from the ground up. I will help any way I can.
