Hey guys,
I spoke with Joe at Mustang Magic and as most of you know I am adding the Vortech air-to-water intercooler on to my car this winter and Long tubes and an H Pipe (bigger MAF as well)... Joe said that he has seen HP numbers between 460-495 to the wheels with a 12 pound pulley...with the combo that I have depending on whether my car is a low performer or high from Ford.
Needless to say I am a bit worried about the bottom end of the engine, I asked a few questions back regarding forged internals and such... I decided that it may be cheaper and less of a pain to just purchase a Short block or a Stroker Short block. Here is what I was looking at... let me know any opinions you guys have or any advice that you could offer...
This probably will not get done until next winter but I may purchase ahead of time such as next month to be able to have it in case anything happens... The other question was should I just stick with my factory heads and have a valve job done on them or what?? This is new territory to me so I am hoping somebody can spread some light on it..! Also should I add any options that are listed below...
