what PN 3.73 gears in Summit and what else do I need for the install? What wt gear oil do you use in the rear end? How useful is the rear end gurdle for this app??

The bearings should be fine, but I think Ford Racing makes a install kit, as well as a rebuild kit for the Traction-Loc, depending on the need and miles.

75-140 Gear Oil

IMO Brace is not a option. You NEED it, these cars should have come from the factory with them. It's hard to explain, but every time you get on the gas, the way the diff is mounted, the cover tries to pull off of the diff housing.

You could also burn up money with gauges and stuff, then just get a nice SOS pod to put them in.

use the royal purple synthetic. and make sure who ever's doing the install seals it up properly with the correct silicone (not sure on which one but there is a right and wrong way to this).

+1000 on the brace its not a question especially if your already in there doing the gears

As far as gauges go, i really want the SOS gauges, but getting the gauges @ summit and getting an SOS pod is a good idea!! Does SOS make the tripple pod or just double? I want to egt the one with the shift light!

Just a dual pod.

Get the Ford TA-29 or TA-31 silicone, it's the bomb. If needed I can get it for you.

IDK, it's your call. You could replace all the bearings and clutches in the locker. Do you need to? Probly not, but will it give you piece of mind?

I will TRY and meet up with you tomorrow. I'm not sure what is going on just yet, but I'm sure I can make the time, just not sure when yet. I'll shoot you a pm tonight and let you know.

I have nitto 555's on the car and I have 275 15" BFG BRAND NEW DR's at home. I just need to know the backspacing for 15" wheels on the cobras and i can get a set of 15" wheels and run them @ LV. I have a pro50 shifter already!! no NOS.... Im staying away from that! I want to run low 11's with no NOS.

15in = Get out the grinder. You have to shave some meet of the calipers and end links to get them to clear.

I'd sell them off and go with a set of properly spaced 16in wheel/tire combo.

well i got the tires from Summit too so i could return themif i pay the S&H to send them back. Do you know hte proper measurements for the 16's?

Not off hand, I have a set of Bogarts at home I could measure. 26in tires work good with stock gearing, but you might need 28's with the 3.73's.
