Changing your gears arent going to give you more horse power but what they will do is give a steeper rear end ratio which is going to make you accelerate a lot quicker ... With 3.73s you should loose on average 2-3 MPG
Its a fairly inexpensive mod (compared to supercharger), increases air intake and you can tune your stang in different ways. When you buy a tuner, you pick 3 preloaded tunes. Click on the link above, click on any CAI+Tune combo and click on SPECS tab and it will explain the tunes. Since your car is stock, I'd personally go with that combo first.
I have a question about the Tuner. I have a 06 GT with a K&N cold air intake. It was already installed when I bought it. My question is, should I buy a Tuner? Would it help my performance?
I know u ain't ask me but I got an 05 v6 with a airaid Cai then tuned it with siperchips 91 performance tune and oh boy I loved it ( I put 18's on and rear wheel never spun out due to the added weight now it does ) supposedly a 26hp and 32 trq extra with the Cai tune

Your car most likely already has a tune. Many CAIs require a tune to function properly. (I just looked it up on americanmuscle.com and it says that K&N does NOT require a tune; http://www.americanmuscle.com/kn-cai-0509gt.html) When I got my car, it already had a Steeda CAI installed and it was tuned since steeda does require a tune. THe problem is that i don't know what octane tune is on it so I stick with 93 octane just to be safe. Iv had my car for 1.5 years now and never got a tuner since I never installed any parts that require tuning. If you really want to put in a new tune than go for it, if not than save your money.
