I agree..........easy to manage but at wot its sick loud!!!
IDK Faheem..........I know you're pumped for the OR pipe but I'd find somebody at a meet and ask them if you can drive it a mile or two to see if you can tolerate it.............at 2100 rpm with the cats the drone is like a sonic hum in your ear. With my 3.73's, thats right at cruising speed of just short of 70 on the highway.:smash:
I got mine from Shiz over at SVTSnake for $150............Bassani w/cats. You can always find 'em on the 'net if you look hard enough.
A catless x pipe is the only way to go. A word to the wise about the MIL's though is that American Muscle got a bad batch of the plug in MIL's and they kept throwing the check engine light anyways. They replaced them without a hassle it jsut sucks doing the work and getting the light anyways. Splice in's are supposed to be sure fire but I opted for a tuner anyways and it sounds perfect.
Depends on the catback. If you have a MAC, Flowmaster, Magnaflow (not magnapacks), or Dynomax you can get away with the catless x-pipe. All the rest sound TOO loud IMHO. I'll get a good clip of my '98 GT with the LM! and offroad X-pipe to prove my point, lol. If you like NASCAR sound it's great I guess...or for scaring old people in cars next to you..lol.
Thats where I got my splice ins for $20... I havent used them yet but when I saw the price was over 50% off I had to jump on it.
What about an SLP LM 1? I think Im going H pipe catless route. Cant afford a catted mid, and SLP is damn raspy but fuggin loud. Hoping the H pipe with deepen the tone out.

I'm running stock headers, Bassani Catted X Pipe, and Mac Catback.
It is loud as hell when you get on it, but you're still able to creep by a house you're stalking if you let it idle and barely touch the pedal.
Can't imagine if I went OR X in the middle. It would be too loud for me and I'd end up with too many tickets in this town. I already get 20 people turning when I leave the bank or whatever in town, sometimes less attention is better

I finnally put in my o/r x pipe its great and i love it. Its not as loud as i thought it would be. When i first got my car i thought it was loud but after a few days i thought it was too quiet. I put on the o/r x pipe and now i think thats too quiet, lol. I have been trying to find some mil eliminators but i heard that the epa has stopped everyone from making them, heard that they are cracking down on that stuff. I put over 300 miles on my car since the swap and the check engine light still hasnt come on yet.
