I have a 1988 Mustang gt that leaks gas whenever its over 3/4 of a tank. I dropped the tank to fix the leak and noticed there was a big piece of metal floating in the gas tank. Does anyone know what its for and if there is a certain position it sits in the gas tank. Im trying to put it back right so it does not mess with the fuel sending unit.
