Mechanical Temp/Oil autometer gauges

alright guys im back with a new project i just got the dash pod from autometer with phantom gauges oil/temp/volt and a coulple others but only using those 3 so oi have no problem runnig the volts gauge and the oil is just a pain in the ass due to the t's and all that bull shit but i just cna't figure out where to put this MECHANICAL gauge. I tried in my thermostat directly and she doesn't fit (poored fluent everywhere and the old electric one into the bay is all ****ed up now) any suggestions

it is a v6 jlt intake and thats in for engine mods outside of the tunes. any suggestions and pictures would really help thanks

Hey from your post not sure which gauge it is your trying to install? The temp gauge is tricky, I will look at my V6 and see what might work. As for oil, is it a temp gauge or pressure? There too it is going to be difficult to find a good spot. I will do some investigating and get back to you. Sorry no help yet but at least I"ll try to.:smash:

Hey thanks for the help I'm putting both gauges in actually but the oil press gauge I'm prolly just going to T off of where the filter is located for the temp gauge I honestly am lost on where I can tap in I have starred at my block for hours any help would be awesome thanks Ik electrical would have been easier but I like mechanical especially when going. With autometer

hey you can probably use one of these to easy the installation of the oil pressure gauge
Add Oil Block Adaptor Oil Temp Pressure Sensor Turbo Line Blue Red Purple | eBay
for coolant, I cant help you as I do not know much about the 4.o motors, but you can probably drill and tap the thersmostat housing.

Why did you go with mechanical gauges? I do understand that they are more reliable and accurate, but I just dont like the idea of running a line carrying hot, pressurized oil and another bringing in hot coolant into the cabin. God forbid the line cracks and breaks it would be hot oil/coolant all over!

the problem i am running into is that both my fuel gauge and temp gauge are failing on my main dash i already have phantom gauges made by autometer but they are all mechanical. The oil pressure gauge i am not to worried about running its just getting around to doing it but i still have had no luck with the coolant. Still taking any suggestions? Tap the thermostat.
