I believe we have 2 motors here, one is a 306 the other is a 302 and we also have a 351w that may be up for sale soon, what is your price range? what about rebuilding the motor you have now? we can do that at a reasonable price and turnaround time is only 2 weeks tops. you can call me at 914-384-9963 to speak with me about what I have. scott

it came out to $830 with freight shipping for me. biggest pain was having it delivered. luckily my work has a loading dock so it was no problem. you could always have it brought to your house. it is light enough for 2 people to lift off a truck. i had no prob with a buddy and only weigh 170. im going to be doing the initial break in on mine in a few hours here so hopefully it was built well

im in wayne county ny actually. pretty much a stock setup. 88 lx converted to mass air. stock intake and throttle body, flow matched injectors, E303 cam, BBK equal length shorties, O/R X pipe and flowmaster exhaust.
Just took it out to seat the rings and it feels pretty good so far. now i have to adjust my timing and figure out why my air fuel ratio hit 9:1 at full throttle

that motor has cast pistons and cast rings, thats a downgrade from a normal 86 up 302 and makes for a bad foundation for current or later builds. you already stated it would be 600$ to rebuild yours so you would be wasting an extra 250$ to buy something that is of lesser quality. I could rebuild your bottom end for the same 600$ . out the motors I have here, the 302 needs to be rebuilt, the 306 Im going to hold on to and the 351 Id sell, so I could build the 302 either stock or to your specs or I can rebuild your 306. honestly it doesnt matter what path you take but to buy a short block that has low quality parts and lends nothing to performance is a waste of money and Im sure most will agree.
