Let the shifter debate begin!

Trying to decide on a short throw for my 09'. Originally was set on the Hurst because of its classic look but the more I read and hear, it rattles like crazy and that bothers me. I am leaning towards the MGW from what Ive seen on their website but would love to hear from all of you who have done this mod. and see what my fellow gear rowers think is best.

Does Pro50 make a shifter for the 09?

If they do I would go with them!!

I'd say don't believe everything you read on the internet. If you want the Hurst for the classic look, buy it. I wanted that look, bought the billet and have been very happy with it.

I have the Hurst short shifter for my 07'. It feels great, at first it is a little notchy, but it works in nice.

As for the "horrific" rattle, I only have a slight rattle at 3500rpm and then it goes away. If I keep my hand on the shifter, there isn't any rattle at all.

There are some fixes for it if it is really that bad, but mine doesn't bother me at all.

My advice is that if you can find someone to let you feel the different shifters, then make a decision, do your research.

I have a Hurst on my 06, does not rattle at all. Besides, they shift nice and look great!

Your help has been appreciated. In speaking to Joe at Mustang Magic he told me the Hurst is the only one that customers have asked him to uninstall 3x's, yikes. The T-handle Hurst that 06' Mach 1 has is different from the cue ball one I was looking at maybe that is why it doesnt rattle? The Roush is a thought because they have that cue ball look and it seems they are better engineered than the Hurst. MGM has a white ball but it is not the classic look. When do the Long Island guys get together so I can actually take a look at these shifters up close, if you wouldn't mind.
