Technically with a SC you don't need as large a header as with say a built NA car. With an NA car you need the scavenging effect more so.
Example is a '93 LX that runs at my track. He was running 9.6@141 with MAC 1 5/8 shorty headers, 2 1/2 ProChamber, and a Dynomax Super Turbo 2 1/2 catback...
