ok so ive been looking around for superchargers i threw out kb right away cuz i thought they were alot more exspensive then i thought they were so now they back into the picture, so i was wondering would my car an 01 gt auto with 108k or the motor/tranny and only mod right now is full exhaust, so i was just wondering if the tranny would hold? i dont beat the car at all drive like a sane person but sometimes just want that kick especially at the lower rpm's cuz that wat im mostly at. so if anybody can shine in on this it be would be appreciated also i do not plan on getting ride of the car i would like to keep it for a while wether i have to replace the tranny down the road ill do so just throwing that out there. also will install a tranny cooler to help with that and i am planning the put 3.73 rear gears in.

If this is a kit is from KB it will contain everything you need to run including injectors. As long as your happy with the tune they send and those hp/tq numbers you do not need anything else.
I would start saving though for a rebuild of your motor and tranny though. If there is any loss in your compression now you will definately wear those rings out even more. As far as the tranny goes it will be reprogrammed by KB's tune but i would recommend a tranny cooler.
by the way your U/D pullies will have to go. you will be increasing the boost and muck up the tune with those. Oh ya get some subframes and some control arms you will need them.

It would be retarded for KB to fail to warranty a SC itself if it failed because of use for other than there own chip. Thats rediculous. How many people with 2.2, 2.6, and 2.8 KB's out there on Cobras actually run a KB tune....:nono:

If you read the KB website, it will tell you unless you are going for the competition or off road blower kits you won't REPEAT WON'T NEED TO UPGRADE YOUR FUEL SYSTEM JUST THE INJECTORS!!!

Anyhow...they will not warranty it if not using thier canned tune...and according to John over at P&J its very very questionable even if a KB installer tune is used wheather or not they will warranty it. KB is great about being complete and thorough but questionable about issues that are associated to tuning for obvious reasons.
Ussually most warranty issues are either craftsmanship which iver neve heard of an issue with and those that are trying to get their motor rebuilt due to a tune.

If you don't believe me, go post on Modular Fords, SVT Performance, etc. and see how many high HP guys are running the canned tune from KB.
I'm not saying the canned tune won't work, I've used a KB chip along time ago on a 91 GT and it worked fine.
BUT, adding extra line pressure is not the best way to firm the shifts in a 4R70W. It's fine if you are stock maybe but adding a SC then bumping the line pressures up is asking for a toasted tranny. The proper way for a longer lasting tranny is to install a valvebody and leave the line pressures alone in the tune. Thats how I did it in my '00 Harley F150 and it has close to 170k miles on the STOCK originally tranny.
Mileage doesn't mean crap as long as you maintain the motor and the car is tuned safely. There are plenty of guys with SC'ed cars/trucks with well over 100k miles. What makes them explode is either detonation or going lean. If you go with the canned tune get it on a dyno and confirm the A/F because ALOT of guys have had there cars either get detonation or go lean with them.

I dont think anyone is questioning that a dyno and wideband is better then a canned tune. I just mentioned that KB's warranty will be questionable not using their tune.

It a 100% complete kit for sure. I just hate to see someone get a SC kit on and then have there tranny crap out a few months later.
