Kb Install

This was in the Member Plus area. But decided to move it into general Population



I got the ok from my pops to start the install without him. I am just going to do the tedious bullshit like the wiring of the BAP and extend wires and shit.

I ordered a new AFCO Heat exchanger to go with my lightening coolant pump.
In 2 hrs I had the bumper off, the rad support cut for the new KB CAI, stock Heat exchanger mounted up, the BAP all installed and was starting on the MAF wire and TPS wire extensions. If pops was here the car would be running already

The car is in pieces now, but will be drivable within a week or so, no KB, gotta wait for pops.

I didn't take any today.

I will take some tomorrow of the carnage, and then when my new H/E shows up.

Here are a few that I snapped today. Still need to straighten up the 400 miles of wire on these damn cars!!.


I gotta say. The directions SUCK ASS!!!! I had to start doing things my way or I would be doing shit twice. Some steps tell you "remember that bolt you had a pain int he ass time istalling? well take it back out and mount this #$%*# thing to it"

Here is a comparison from the stock K/B heat exchanger to the new Afco I ordered.

Big difference, should be here thursday.

+1 on the upgraded heat exchanger. I have been considering the Steeda unit.

Paul, Go with the afco. it is better, and also $50 cheaper. Direct bolt up to our cars.

Thanks Nick. I am doing all I can except the final drop in of the intercooler and blower. I am in no rush.
