thought i blow my motor today was driving along and smoke started pouring from my exaust got to a freinds house and pulled the brake master and it was pushing fluid in to the booster and sucking thro the into the intake line got it fixed before any more problems

i kinda got smoke blowing from my exhaust too...or could it be from my new mufflers?

keep an eye on the brake fluid have new mufflers also but didnt have any smoke from them installed 3days ago

now that he said that he has me worrying...lol. the "smoke" doesnt come out heavily...its just a lil puff everytime i press the gas pedal a little firm. I also have this DTC 5284 code that came on. I looked it up and its for the Oil Pressure Switch Failure. Anybody know what thats for and how to get it fixed? Thank you

Usually the oil pressure switch controls the idiot light on the dash. They can fail both ways: on all the time or off all the time. Meaning the light on the dash stays on all the time or off all the time.

mine is off all the time then...how can it be fixed? whart about the smoke from the tailpipes?

what color is the smoke bluish grey probly rings white mabey head gasket dark grey or black rich on gas

do u think it might be from my k&n oiled filter? i recently took out my air silencer also...

You would have had to soak the filter in oil to the point where its was dripping off of it to suck it into the intake. It would go away after a week or so. I really don't think that is the case. Does the smoke all the time or just on cold start? All the time usually indicates rings are not sealing like they used to and smoke on cold start usually indicates bad valve seals. As for the oil pressure switch call a parts store and see if one exists for the car. i know places like Advance and Auto Zone can sometimes show you what it looks like and where it is located. (I'm not really failure with this generation of stangs) Once you know where it is check the connection look for corrosion and broken wires. A local Ford dealer can assist with the part and component location. Most dealers are helpful with helping the common person at least find the part.

it didnt smoke bad...just on cold starts...but now it doesnt smoke anymore...we'll see in the next couple of days.
