I am a brand new member to the club. I just bought a 1966 coupe in nightmist blue. Manual 3 speed trans, inline 6. I got it from an 80 year old man, who is the second owner. I hope you guys don't mind. I will be asking alot of questions in the next few weeks as this is my first classic (my daily is an 06 subaru legacy gt).
Few basic questions: I just got the car yesterday. It is in desperate need of an oil change, plugs, wash and wax. Any suggestions on the weight of oil? Do you guys use synthetic or regular. I do my own work on the subaru. I use castrol synthetic in that. Not sure if its ok for the older engines.
As far as plugs, I am considering champion copper. Any suggestions? Would the car run ok with iridium plugs?
Chrome: I want to buff out the chrome. It is not rusted, but it is dull. Any suggestions?
