I thought this would be far easier... I ordered a new, custom Pony for the front grille and attempted to remove the old one by following the instructions I was given. As anyone knows who has tried removing one before they are a pain to get out. But once I did get it out I found that I had stupidly scuffed up and scratched and dented the outer rim of the part of the grille that holds the pony in place. Suggestions from the experts as to what I should do? New grille? Trying buffing it out (I thought using a nail file, or sandpaper would make it less noticable)? Attempt using touch up paint? I've included a pic of the damage I caused.
