Hey :) my names Sarah and I'm from upstate. I'm thinking about going to the dark side and am gonna look at a 90 coupe next week so I've been brushing up on some info before I jump into a mustang project. This would be my first American car I've ever bought if everything goes right. Its a 2.3 automatic :/ I wanna do a 5spd swap and am thinking of a 2.3t.. if I don't go turbo'd tho I'll probably try for the 5.0. Any suggestions or advice... Thanks

It would be cheaper up-front to go with a 5.0 & T5 swap. But id eventually like to do a 2.3T project in a fox. I've seen some wild videos of these cars on youtube. The stock 2.3 is going to feel like a snail to you especially with the auto, but if your good with it 30 mpg's is attainable. My brothers first ride was a 90' hatch 2.3 5-speed. Bought it for $600, was covered in dings and dents but no rot!

There's a whole lot of us in Rochester which is 1 hr 40min from you. Plus you got Captain Chris in schenectady, plus a whole bunch of CNY folks I forgot to mention.

WNY club is where it's at if you don't mind a little cruise West!! :D

No I live in massena. The car I'm going to look at is 3 hours south of me near Syracuse lol
