idle problems

ok so this starts to happen after i drive for a while ...when i stop at a red light the car starts droping rmp from 1000 down to 500 then back up to 1000 it does this 3 times after every time i stop ...im not in gear at the time ......can u guys help ...is it the pulley


it feels like the car is going to shut off on me but pulls its self together

If it does this all the time your mass air flow maybe dirty. I had to spray the one on my old 04 GT and it solved the problem

Yea the engine is stock except for a cold air

Yeah I would say clean the MAF with some brake cleaner and try that.

Mass air flow cant be cleaned with brake cleaner! It needs MAF sensor cleaner since you are spraying electronic connections

Yea it's readily available at any parts store, plan on $6-7 for the can. It sprays on and looks wet but don't worry it dries in a matter of a minute or so. Just let it dry before hooking it back up and running the car.

Spray the MAF sensor with MAF sensor cleaner.

I heard it gives you back some horses too

I would disconnect the battery to reset the KAM (Keep alive memory) also...

Its back .....after half an hour of driving it does it again ....I don't know what the heck is going on....

check for vacuum leaks. If that checks out try cleaning your IAC motor.

Idle Air Control, it is a cylindrical looking "sensor" hooked up on your upper intake plenum
