I was wondering, how much hp should a stock 99 GT be pusing out at the wheel. I looked all over the web but all I can find is 260hp, but they do not say if that is at the wheel or the fly.

The 260 is at the Fly wheel. If you have a 5 speed you probably got 215 to the wheels and if you got an auto around 190. I am probably wrong with my numbers but these are from what I have seen people say.

I would say more like 220'ish for manual, a little less for auto. I've personally seen a stock GT dyno at these #'s.

Generally, at least for the S197 on a Dyno Jet, the rule of thumb for calculation is 15% less for manual and 20% less for Auto.

so, stock 300hp (minus) 45hp (15%) = 255hp

However, some cars have dynoed up to 270 - 280 RWHP and others as slow as 220 - 230 RWHP, some people have mid week motors and others have Monday or Friday motors (built during a hang over :nono: ).

My buddy just opened up a dyno and tune shop in latham ny and im gonna run it on there to see where I am at right now,just seeing how much of a difference my add ons added. I will give my results when I get them, probably sometime within the next week.

He is actually out in California right now getting a license to be a professional tuner. I was thinking that maybe we can have a Mustang day and see if we can get a group rate. Do you think anyone would be interested in that? Also how much do shops charge for dyno pulls or tuning?

There is a place in Lake Placid I am probably going to make an appt. to go to. They have a mustang dyno and charge $80 for three pulls.

99gt......220rwhp for a 5spd, 215rwhp for an auto.....however, it is possible for Ford to have made a "freak" motor....rarely though.
