How much can I expect from my v6

I had another friend say the same thing and he regrets not going with the 4.10s bit it's all about what you want I don't think the gas millage is that much different between the two but do some research n check but I would def do some sort of gearing

In about 2 seasons there will be a fully New MUSTANG. I would save the money till then. I agree with REAL SPEED on the charger, if you want to keep the car longer than TWO OR THREE SEASONS. MY GT is supercharged with many MODS, it too is an AUTO.:mechanic:

If you want sell your current system and buy Ford Racing GTB (Bullitt) exhaust, when I had them on mine they had absolutely no drone and they sounded nice and had great street manors. Than I switched to the FR500S mufflers and these have little to no drone on them and they sound fantastic on my V6, on the 2 or so months I have had them i have gotten many compliments on the way my car sounds now than I ever did with my GTB. Gears have nothing to do with drone, drone is caused by the resonance in your mufflers. If I were you I would I would get your gears installed by a professional to eliminate any issues or gear whine by installing them improperly.

Not off the top of my head, maybe shoot Irishpower a PM, maybe he can help or if you don't mind going to Deer Park Mustang Magic would easily be able to do this for you. Also if I recall correctly you have to get the tune readjusted for the gears.

I want to share a little something about the 4.0 V6, in 2007 just a few weeks before I bought my car that Memorial Day, I was at the NY International Auto Show and visited the Ford booth. A once in a life time chance a met and spoke with Mark Fields who was there that day, originally I just complained how I didn't like the Flex, but we began to move on to the Mustang and I spoke about me being in the market but wondering whats the deal with the V6 what he said basically make you wonder WTF, he went on to tell me the basic fuel economy pitch, but then said with stock parts it was designed to be equiped with Twin Turbos for an output of 500Hp,I had to make sure I heard right and asked "You mean no other mods but installing the twin turbos?" he said Yes, that there was a test mule 500hp twin turbo 4.0 V6 being used for performance and durability/reliability testing. And yes sounds like something he made for a pitch, but we did talk for quite a bit and there were things he spoke of such as the 5.0 development and even plans to have SYNC in the Mustang in 2010 refresh. Will say a very nice and pleasant person to talk to.

Wow 500hp ? How would that be possible wouldn't the car need an 8.8 rear and some other stuff ? ..... Turbo are more money and complicated so supercharging is the way for me

He said the Engine was capable of doing 500hp with stock parts, so I'll take a guess he doesn't mean the drivetrain since upsetting to see thos videos of 2011 V6s blow their at 120+ MPH. I don't race or do track days, but seeing those I think when I do my Trac lok and 3.73 gear I'll also add in a Shaftmasters for extra security...

My feeling is your not drag racing it nor looking to jam 500+ Hp out the engine a 7.5 should be fine. There is no harm going 8.8 other then having to find a donor and getting the proper driveshaft, plus you might still need to open the diff case to get the gear you want in. Personally like I said I'm just gonna keep the 7.5 get the 3.73 gears and T Lok and possible the driveshaft from shaftmasters.

well i installed cold air intake, 3'thrush exhuast, demon coil with diablo tune and race dynamic stainless steel404 header, i now lay 20ft patches of rubber when ever i want and take on the GT's corner to corner jousting lol and win!! lol

well let me say this, as far as cost goes as long as ur willing to turn ur on wench u can easily get 40hp to 60hp for under 800 for a stock v6 i spent $750 on my modifications, most items were bought on ebay, sum at summit racing and some at local part places, since i don't drive mine in the winter and i have a daily driver i spend $300 bucks a year for grundy insurance for $25,000 full coverage. and yes there's "no replacement for displacement" but the lines are getting blurred lol. but V6 are naturals for supercharging and will get a GT on the line (as QS6 by steeda)the power ban for a V6 is lower than a the GT's thus technaly u get beat an GT on 1/8 mile lol also u'll get better gas mileage out of a supercharged V6 about 27-28mpg under normal driving conditions

I don't know about beating Gt's but the car is getting faster. Yah I have been working on it myself except the exhaust. Did u desk a difference with the screaming demon coil? Do headers (shorty) add power or just make a better exhaust tone ?
