help quieting down exhaust

ok, so my exhaust is OBNOXIOUS! i want to quiet it down, will i be able to run cat, m80's and MBRP axelback with mufflers? or will it be too much backpressure

Change the pypes out for magnaflow, Mac or borla... Corsa if you have the cash...

ik but my whole family is yelling at me to change it, and there is a baby across the street and i cant take my car to school anymore because its so damn loud and i need to start it at 6am. im taking it saturday so u can hear how damn loud it is....

if i have to change it... ill prolly change to magnaflow magnapack catback

He has the pypes mid muffler set up with an O/R X on it.


When I had my O/R H with the muffler deletes and magnaflow resonators, it was ear piercing loud. Now I removed the muffler deletes and put my flowmasters back on. No drone, rasp, and just sounds mean.

so this is what im doing
i bought magnaflow cats, and im taking off the muffler deletes in the rear and i got MBRP axelback

so this is my setup

bbk longtubes, bbk xpipe with welded in magnaflow cats, pypes mid muffler m80's, and MBRP axleback exhaust

That's going to be real quiet with the cats and axle backs. Try just the cats before spending the money on axle backs.

Cause all I have is resonators and axlebacks, and it is quiet but loud at times.

I think all of that you are doing will be too much.

ya i didnt order the MBRP's yet, im going to wait to see how quiet it gets with the cats, and after that if it isnt quiet enough, ill think of something else

Yea, stuffing a potato into the exhaust pipe is a no no.

No aftermarket exhaust will cause as much back pressure as the stock one. I would start with high flow cats, maybe put the Stingers back on. That's basically what I have, only loud when you really step into it

i sold stingers, once i get paypal connected with bank account i can order cats, and once cats are on, and if it aint quiet enough, im going to buy magnaflow magnapacks for my car. or trade matt my pipes mid muffler and ill buy MBRP axleback
