There won't be any more upgrades for Big Red while I own it. That will be for the next owner to decided what to do. I just want to put it together and drive it. This last round has really been too much for me. A year and a half and I don't even want to talk about the cost!
At the end of the day, the only thing I'm lacking is an intercooler, but the car will probably make low 900s and put over 800 to the tires, so what more do I need??

Hey Glen watz up I was reading your last post and I am wondering about your not using a inter-cooler isn't that a lil dangerous,I mean wouldn't detonation become a big factor and melting pistons be part of that factor.Just wondering BC I plan on doing a S/c and if I can get by without a intercooler for now it would help me alot with the installation part of the Mod .Please any help on this issue would be a great help.
I basically run a 2002 NMRA Renegade Combination. Have run this combo since Spring of 2001, with some upgrades along the way. The last change was Spring of 2005. the car has made 712HP to the tires in street trim and 725HP in race trim since then. If you use the best parts and have a good tuner then it is not an issue, "cooling with fuel" is the secret. My combination is very custom and very race oriented. For what you are looking to do, you should do an intercooled setup, they are readily available and will allow you to get decent fuel mileage.

Thanks Glen I really appreciate your help with this and I will consider the intercooler route.I'm not really concerned with gas mileage at this time and was only looking to save some labor and the headaches associated with running the intercooler in these chassis,but if the intercooler can help I will certainly look into it.

They do add complexity to the installation of the system. With a 4.6 valve, you can get a system where the intercooler is part of the intake manifold also.
You basically have 3 options. Air to Air in front of the radiator, air to water after a centrifugal supercharger and air to water under a lobe or screw supercharger.
With my 95 setup, intercooler plumbing would be a nightmate
