H pipe or x

I have slp loudmouth 1 welded in where the stock mufflers were. I love the way it sounds now but i want it a little louder loll. Should i do an h pipe or x pipe.

x pipes sound good on mod motors IMO. H pipes are like a deeper more muscle-ish rumble while x pipes are more raspy and a little more "exotic" sounding.

x pipe all day....n if u want to be loud get rid of the cats..but i dont recomend..if you are not making big power just stick with ur cats but x pipe man

i thought u had the loudmouth mufflers...
but anyways i think u want a loud muscle..im gonna beat u over the head sound...i was 17 i know how it is n i think the x pipe will give u that..if u want a more smoth sound get the h pipe or a mac prochamber..thats what im running on the cobra and it is lound and clear

the loudmouth 1 is basically straight pipe. If you look in it its straight with no baffling at all.

yea i agree straight pipes sound kind of shitty but i have heard some gt with o/r x pipe n slp's n they sound good..lound as shit but good. but i would do a mac or go to a magnaflow system they sound smooth and like pure sex

IMO, Borla is the best you can buy on a mod motor...The stingers sound like pure ear sex.

SLP LM sounds good with the right setup! stick with H pipe, I'm assuming you are running stock H pipe that is 2.25in, get a mac H pipe 2.50 and it will make it louder!

Also, are you sure you have LM1 and not 2?

I have the BBK shorty headers and SLP X-Pipe with high flow cats. sound ok tiny raspy but I am deciding whether to go with the slp power flo mufflers or the loud mouth 2's for the cat back.

The rule of thumb with our cars exhaust is H Pipe for Chamber, X for a through muffler like SLP, Borla, Magnaflow. If i were you i would go with Pypes high flow cats (i feel like im a promoter for them but they sound sick) with an X, the Cats will keep the rasp down and make the exhaust slightly deeper, and the X will give you the best results with the SLP's

the x pipe sounds betta then an h pipe on a modular motor IMO . .definately raspy but sounds incredible. im not a fan of cats but it might be to raspy if you ditch them with slp's IMO. .good luck
