ok i suppose this has been discussed before, but i thought it would be a good idea to see what you guys think.
im using a HO motor with explorer intake and gt40p heads, beehive springs and hardend rods.
the idea was to obtain a set of gt40p heads mill them .010, blend the bowls and port match, poss have bigger valves put in???? talked to the machine shop guy , and hes said he could put chevy valves in 1.94 1.60. is it worth it to do this or should i just leavem alone? with the 35-510-8 XE258 cam he said it was pushing something in the area of 380 hp and close to that in tq on camquest?
I know porting with these are tricky and probably best thing to do is just get the bowel work done. but before i go spend like 400 bucks into these i want to make sure of what the best idea would to be. thoughts and discuss thanks!
