How much does the type one decrease ground clearance?

Some of that depends on the size tires and wheels you're running. On our Mustang from the bottom of the Splitter to the ground is 5 inches. Our front tires are 255/40/17 and our rear tires are 275/40/18. The smaller the aspect ratio or profile the less ground clearance that you have.
