Gear change= Tune change?

That was my dilema, but after looking at the difference, 4:10 was ok

3:90 = @6700 rpm = 133 mph in 4th
3:90 = @ 70 mph = 2187 rpm in 6th

4:10 = @6700 rpm = 126 mph in 4th
4:10 = @ 70 mph = 2300 rpm in 6th

in 4th gear t56-speed T56, final drive ratio of 1:1 and a 26" diameter tire.

I currently have 305/35-18" Nitto 555R's out back (26.42" dia)...so I could use a little more gear...the 315's or 275's 17" wheels are about 25.7" dia. tirel! ...Bigger tire would take a little gear out of those 4.10's if needed! :headbang:

I made a mistake, I corrected my post. It should have said 4th gear, not 6th.

your tire(26.42) will give you 128.5 mph with 4:10's

^^ Good info!!!! ....I'm still leaning towards the 3.90's...But I'll keep ALL OF this info in mind! :D

First isn't as short as I've read, second is strong too, but third and fourth, awesome. With my new BFGoodrich Drag Radials, 315's, if I ease into it, it will not spin.It just pulls like crazy.

I've always said the ONLY way I'd throw 3.73's in is if someone gave them to me for free! :evil: (I useally like to go a min. of 2 steps up with a gear change)...73's should make a little difference!

how do you like em???? do you have any track times on em?

I've gotten my non-pullied car down to 12.3 @ 113 -114 so far, be curious to see what yours would do!!!!!!

....Haven't purchased yet! :( ...I've run a best of 12.0 @ 117.6 with Nitto 275 DR's and a 2.93" pulley back in '06 ... That's how its been since I've been to the track! :smash:

3.90's would be my pick!! :awesomework:
