fuel pump question

If the pump was disconnected it has nothing to do with the size of the pump. And No, you do not need a larger fuse, that is what causes fires
Was any work done prior to this happening? If so, that is where I would start.
If not, then it is a matter of tracing out the circuit physically and finding the short. Start small;
At the fuse box, then find it where it passes into the ignition etc.....

i'm an idiot, the fuse that was blowing is a EEC fuse which by the book is responsible for PCM and CCRM.
after i put the CCRM back in with the new relay, i put a new fuse in and the car started like a charm but only for about a second then the fuse blew again.
i looked for the PCM location and it looks like it's the same as ECU. Please tell me i'm wrong

a quick update:
i took the car to my mechanic we took the CCRM and PCM out, he checked the resistance in every pin in between the ccrm and pcm, checked all the grounds, all possible shorts. then we put everything back together and it wouldn't show short anymore, put a new fuse in and the car started and ran fine. I took her around a block and as i'm pulling back into the shop she died again, yes blew the fuse again. I put another fuse in and she's been running since with no issues.
Also had a very bad gas leak so i had to drop the tank once again to change the grommet.
As of right now the car is in perfect working condition as always.
Just felt like venting cuz i didn't drive her for over 3 months

soooooo...after checking every resistance, grounds and shorts and ......it blew again after pulling her back into the shop....what ultimately was the problem ?? i know you said you put in a new fuse and shes good now....but you did that previously and still blew fuses.

I am concerned myself with this.
If there are no shorts and resistance was futile then there should be no reason for the fuse to blow.
There can be an underlying problem that is only happening when you hit a bump or something shifts causing a short.
I would think you would be able to data log the car and check for voltage spike across the pcm, but I could be wrong on that one, thats a guess

the problem is still unknown, there had to be a wire shorting on the ground and i guess we moved it when my mechanic pulled the wires
still runs with no issues, and i do carry 3 fuses on me just in case. Also i've hit bunch of bumps and nothing caused it to blow the fuse again, i really hope that she's won't throw any new surprises
