I figured out what was causing the rattling. If you look at my crudely, crudely drawn picture the hanger stem (don't know what's it called) is either too long or the exhaust isn't all the way in and well it is hitting against the bumper mount or something on the rear bumper not sure what. So what I would have to do is cut it a little bit but the problem is that I think it is stainless steel. Cutting stainless steel is kind of hard to do and all I need is to take off a little bit.
I was just going to tell you that had the same problem with mine, as the exhaust heats up it expands and then the rear hanger just barely touches the bumper. I used a grinder to shorten it. good news took care of most my rattle. bad news still have a rattle at a certain rpm but not all the time
I'm thinking about welding on one of the original v6 vibration dampers. but if you had ford put yours on you are covered for 30k warranty. take it back make them fix it, it's why you paid the big bucks.
