Flowmaster or Steeda Axleback

So I have been watching videos of all different axlebacks and I plan on getting the flowmaster american thunders or the Steeda axleback. Im not sure can anyone give me anyfeedback on any of these. I have read that the flowmsters have a few problems but they are cheaper. I only plan on adding the axleback.

I have flowmasters and love em. Not the new square ones, the older classic thunders or whatever the hell they are called.

What problems do we speak of??? I have not had any problems at all. Exhaust goes in, comes out with a growl......no problem.

yea the older ones I want they are the american thunder. I have read that they rattle because the baffel breaks off. Also the hangers will break so people have to weld them. Flowmaster has replaced many of them to their customers.

I've had my Flows welded in since about 2 weeks after I bought the car new in 02. No problems with them and I love the way they sound w/ the L/T's and O/R H

I guess I got a good set, cause mine don't rattle and the hangers are still there. Then again, I don't drive the car much. I think it has gone maybe 150miles since march.

Not a fan a flowmaster.I had bought a catback for my 95 and two weeks later i replaced them,with the steeda/borla catback.My little cousin is selling a used Borla stinger axle back if your interested

thanks I think Im gonna go with the steeda. Does anyone know if it drones alot?

I have the FRPP stingers which are the same as the steeda and Borla.You will definitely get drone between 1800 and 2000 rpm.They sound great.You should pm Nick/Glueyes about the used set

Flowmasters! Mine are weld in mufflers(2-chambered). Yea, they are rusted, but everything is tight, no rattles, and the hangers are in place.

Mac sounds sweet, thats what i got but i got a 5.0 so everything is already different lol but yeah you should PM TonyTone

Dont go with Pypes - I regret putting them on - Hangers have already had to be welded back on - I am looking at replacing them with Macs when I do my headers

I had a Gibson set up on my Bronco. :mad: And my Roush off road mufflers are made by Borla, love the way they sound.

Get the steeda or bassani race axle backs. Please.....Please don't get the slowmasters. I had them on my 2006 gt and they sounded good, but sucked. And they rust out over time. Get something stainless.
