i just got a f-303 cam and i wanted to know what mods have to be done to use the cam

well with an F cam and speed density I have doubts about your idle being any where near what you would want it, an F cam is not the cam for a no mods, or lightly modded car..

If your going to run an out of the box cam i would suggest a b or e. F is not intended for a lightly modded car. If your going to have your heads decked and ported you may be able to use it but i wouldnt recomment it.

i dont know what youre looking to get out of the swap but it will not give you any performance benifits. will it work, sure if you dont have a problem with the tuning end of it as SD is sensitive and takes some playing around. if i were you id just use a set of 1.7 rockers and stock cam till you have money to upgrade the motor. if you had mass air it would make it a little more friendly but still you wont get gains without other supporting mods. if you just want a cam that sounds good then you can put the cam in and play with the SD a bit.

im planning on putting magnum roller rockers, hardened push rods , crane dual valve springs, all in e7 heads....the cam wont do anything at all with those upgrades?

Your combination isn't right as is and you are going in the wrong direction with what you think will help. I get the impression that you are already set in what you think will work for you, because of whatever reason. But, well, I'll give you a little bit of advice anyway.

An f cam on a stock SD motor with an intake is about as far off of a good combination as you can get. You will make more power than stock, yes, but it will never run right, and you'll never see the full potential that the parts are capable of.
